Demon Dell, Tenebrous

Grayfield wears orange and black.

It is concrete, brick, old steel, narrow streets, loading docks, forgotten alleys, corner businesses, apartment blocks, warehouses, and walls carrying decades of names layered over names.

Grayfield doesn't hide its scars. It paints over them.

And then somebody paints over that.

This is home territory for the Oujibones.

They tag low.

Not across the obvious billboard-sized walls where everybody looks. Their marks show up down near curbs, beneath bridges, along foundations, behind dumpsters, under loading docks, beside drainage tunnels, and in places you wouldn't notice unless you knew where to look.

In Grayfield, a low tag can mean more than a name.

It can mark territory.

It can leave a warning.

It can tell somebody they're being watched.

Or it can simply mean an Oujibone got there first.

Grayfield is also home to the law office of Alexandria “Lexi” Thompson, Attorney at Law, where contracts, court filings, business disputes, and the complicated legal affairs of Tenebrous are handled several floors above what is happening in the streets.

That contrast defines Grayfield.

Law offices and graffiti.

Business suits and work boots.

Court documents and spray paint.

People trying to build something beside people trying to leave proof they existed.

Grayfield isn't the prettiest district in Demon Dell.

It doesn't care.

Keep your eyes low.

The Oujibones do.
